The path to a customised vehicle
Our customers attach great importance to the fact that their individual wishes are incorporated into the planning and customisation. Every vehicle and every customer has special requirements that Camper Imperium can transform into a customised result.
For some aspects of the fit-out, we allow ourselves to make the decisions ourselves in order to make optimum use of our expertise and experience. This ensures that the fit-out not only meets the customer's requirements, but also fulfils our high quality and safety standards.
With us, not everything has to be complicated and costly. In a joint planning meeting, we will always find a solution that suits your wishes, the concept, the state of the art and your budget. When you work with us, you can be sure that we will realise a customised, high-quality vehicle conversion or a racy expedition vehicle that exactly matches your ideas. Your vision, our craft!
A customised extension is a matter of taste and preference. Our customers have them and so do we. If you have already browsed through our website and you like what you see, these are the best prerequisites for a co-operation. In your enquiry, please describe your idea, your requirements and your wishes in as much detail as you can.
The next step is to invite you to Amsteg for an introductory meeting. We will go into more detail about your ideas, such as the layout of the vehicle, important equipment features, design and technical details (e.g. self-sufficiency, must-haves and nice-to-haves, etc.).
We also discuss the costs and budget together, although we cannot provide any binding information at this stage. The result is a rudimentary idea of the project.
If you would like to pursue the project further, we will draw up an initial cost estimate based on the first meeting. Our cost framework provides an overview so that it can be compared with your budget.
In order to put the costs in a realistic relation to a customised extension, we already carry out the initial planning and design work. Depending on the scope of the project, the planning costs at this stage amount to between CHF 1,000 and CHF 5,000. These costs may vary if the project has special requirements.
We discuss the indicative quote together and if everything is right for you, we start with the detailed planning. All services and costs are summarised transparently in a binding quotation. On request, we can also create a project sketch, whereby additional costs may be incurred for 3D visualisation and rendering. This quotation is the basis for the fit-out project.
After you have carefully checked the quotation, we will be happy to confirm your order. You still have the opportunity to make adjustments or express new wishes until the start of the project. Please note that changes may incur costs, which we will discuss with you in advance.
After accepting the binding offer, we agree on a date for the installation. This involves a down payment of the project costs. We will start work on your vehicle on the agreed date.
The expansion usually takes 12 to 18 weeks. The time required depends on our workload and the size of the project. We will keep you up to date throughout the entire process and are available to answer any questions you may have. You will receive a further invoice on account from us at the halfway point. The final invoice will be issued once the order has been completed.
Once the conversion is complete, we will hand over your customised vehicle to you. During an introduction, we will explain all the functions and options that your motorhome now has in store for you and your adventures.
