A sleeping roof provides headroom on holiday and underground parking in everyday life. Also known as a pop-top roof, it makes the balancing act from everyday car to holiday vehicle. During the day, the bed can be folded up mechanically and provides standing height in what is actually a small van. Retrofitting a pop-top roof creates two additional and, above all, super comfortable sleeping berths in the roof. But a pop-top roof, also known as a lifting roof, has even more advantages!
The additional room height, the windows with ventilation grilles or the opening of the entire tent (optional: Open Sky or Panorama) maximise air circulation. At high temperatures, sleeping on all four sleeping berths is surprisingly comfortable, even at the height of summer. In cooler conditions, the windows can be closed and the tent can be additionally insulated with an optional thermal bonnet.
Our pop-up roof adds a maximum of 6 cm to the VW T5/T6/T6.1, for example. Depending on the extension, load and vehicle equipment (springs etc.), the bus remains under 2.05 m.
We represent Camp Roof in Switzerland and look forward to soon being able to offer the ultra-flat pop-up roof for vehicle models other than the VW T5/T6/T6.1. Until then, we will be installing pop-up roofs from SCA for almost all camper vans and will of course also take care of the registration!
Every bus is a little different, as are tastes, so we can and want to adapt the pop-top roof for the camper completely to your wishes!

The tent is custom-made for the Camp Roof sleeping roof and we can therefore offer a wide range of colours. The colour palette ranges from various shades of grey and beige to expressive blue, green, yellow and red. Ask us, we will be happy to send you a selection!
Three versions of the roof tent are available. In the "Standard" variant, there are three windows, each equipped with mosquito nets. The variant "Front Open" allows the tent to be opened to the front. With the "Sky Open" the entire tent can be zipped open by around 270 degrees.
The standard bed consists of a 4 cm mattress that rests on the wooden bed construction. The new bed offers space for two people (120 cm x 185 cm). For more comfort, we offer - or rather recommend - a specially developed comfort version with a disc-spring base. The Kold foam mattress with individual fabric colour is available in medium or hard firmness.
As we also offer made-to-measure mattresses for all types of motorhomes in our camper manufactory, we leave the choice of mattress cover for the pop-up roof up to you. Incidentally, the covers can be removed via a zip and are washable up to 30 °C!
On request, there are also 12V or USB sockets in the new sleeper roof as well as a customised lighting concept in the roof itself, underneath the bed or on the side of the roof lining.
Not all vehicles are campers through and through, such as a Viano, Multivan or VW Caravelle. The transition from the sheet metal bodywork to the new pop-top roof depends on the base vehicle and can be customised on request. We work with felt, microfibre, laminate, wood or veneer.
A large part of the roof lining has to be removed when fitting the pop-top roof. In the meantime, you could almost call it a camper convertible. This technical modification must of course be properly authorised for road use, which we not only take care of, but also provide an MFK guarantee!
Optionale Ausstattung
The sun provides us with free energy - so why not use it? The pop-top roof can accommodate up to 350 to 400 watts of solar power and we will be happy to install the solar panels on your new pop-top roof.
The pop-up roofs are painted white as standard. On request, the roofs can be painted or wrapped in the colour of the vehicle.
